During the conference’s second panel, special attention will be paid to the resilience of democratic societies against Russian influence and Kremlin information operations. Among other topics, the event will present research by Texty.org.ua on Russian narratives, prepared with the participation of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation in the Czech media space. The research analyzes the key channels of Russian propaganda, the mechanisms of its dissemination, and the risks it poses for democratic institutions in the Czech Republic and Europe at large.

Exhibition “War. Made in Russia” at Parliament

Alongside the discussion program, on June 29 the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic will host the exhibition “War. Made in Russia,” which tells the story of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The exhibition aims to critically illuminate the causes of Russian aggression and its tragic consequences, while preserving the memory of how the ordinary life of people is shattered when war arrives.

Exhibits for the exhibition were provided by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II. The exhibition is also supplemented by reproductions of the collection of the Vyzvolennia Museum of Ukraine in Prague, which has operated since 1925–1945, and photographs by Ukrainian documentarians Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov. The exhibition presents works telling about human losses, destruction, and the experience of Ukrainian society during the full-scale Russian invasion.

The exhibition’s organizers are the Ukrainian Institute in Prague, the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II. As we previously reported, this exhibition has already been shown in Hradec Králové. After the one-day exposition at the Czech Parliament, the exhibition will continue its run in the town of Mariánské Lázně, where its official opening will take place on June 30.
