Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson received as a gift the book “Surviving Hostomel: 21 Stories from a Hero City” by its author, Ksenia Dvornikova, head of the Communications Department of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. The meeting and public presentation of the book took place in Lviv during the 33rd Lviv International BookForum.

As part of a collaboration between the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation and the “Nash Format” publishing house, the Ukrainian-language edition of American defense-technology expert George Doerty’s book “The Beast in the Machine: How Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Are Changing Wars and the Future of Human Conflict” has been released. The first book in the Para Bellum series, which will publish world bestsellers and books by Ukrainian authors about the wars of the future, was presented at the Lviv Publishers’ Forum.

As part of the 33rd Lviv International BookForum, UK Prime Minister (2019–2022) Boris Johnson presented his memoir “No Shackles.” The Ukrainian translation of the book was published by Vivat, whose warehouses were damaged in a Russian attack.

In Chișinău (Republic of Moldova), the exhibition “…But They Will Be Revived in Glory and Strength” continues, dedicated to Ukrainian churches and religious buildings damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian aggression.

On September 19 at 18:00, Prague will host the presentation of a documentary book by journalist Kseniia Dvornikova, head of the Communications Department of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, titled “Surviving in Hostomel: 21 Stories from a Hero City.” The book’s first presentation abroad carries symbolic significance, as Hostomel and the Prague district of Řeporyje are twin cities.

On September 18, 2026, Prague will host the second season of the international mentoring program “Koreni ta Kryla: Istoriya, Yaka Ob’iednuie” (Roots and Wings: A History That Unites). Over the course of the academic year, 22 representatives from 11 Ukrainian diaspora schools and educational initiatives in the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Spain, and Slovakia will master Natalia Omelchuk’s modern approach to teaching history to children living and studying outside Ukraine.

On September 8, 2026, the Reanimation Package of Reforms Coalition, together with the public organization “Zhyttia,” held a press conference dedicated to the lack of proper regulation of nicotine products in Ukraine.

In Lviv, the First Book of the Para Bellum Series on AI, Robotics, and the Wars of the Future Will Be Presented

Ukrainian children abroad are settling into a new environment. They go to school and learn the history and culture of the countries where they now live. At the same time, it is important for them not to lose their connection with Ukraine — to know its history and culture, and to understand our country’s place in European historical processes.
