On June 29, 2026, the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic in Prague hosted the international conference “Current Security Threats VI,” dedicated to key challenges to European security, countering Russian imperialism, and supporting Ukraine. This was already the sixth such conference, held under the patronage of Pavel Žáček, a member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament and chairman of the Czech-Ukraine Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.

More than a hundred Ukrainian children in the Czech Republic spent the past year studying Ukrainian history not only from textbooks, but through museum exhibits, research, and living testimonies. The history course at these educational centers was launched for the first time: Prague hosted the wrap-up of the first year of the “Roots and Wings: History That Unites” program.

The first day of the final meeting of the mentoring program “Roots and Wings: A Story That Unites” was devoted to mastering the excursion as a teaching method. Educators from Ukrainian schools and cultural-educational centers in Czechia did more than just go for a walk around Prague — they tested out tools that help make history vivid, understandable, and close to children.

This question seems provocative only to those accustomed to viewing international institutions as unchanging stage scenery rather than living legal constructs subject to the same principles of logic and justice that underpin any legal system. In matters of this magnitude, nothing is impossible — there is only a lack of will and a lack of arguments. Diplomats will have to address the first; the second is what I will try to work through here.
