Ukraine’s national technological sports team won two second-place finishes at international competitions in the United Kingdom — at the MIDRT UK 2026 drone race (Military International Drone Racing Tournament) and the BATDC (British Army Tactical Drone Competition). This was Ukraine’s debut at these competitions.

On September 16, Kyiv hosted the VI annual Forum on Legal Reforms for Civil Society “Responsible for Resilient Democracy,” organized by the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM).

On September 18, Prague saw the launch of the second season of the international mentoring program «Roots and Wings: A History That Unites» by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. Throughout the academic year, 21 representatives from 11 Ukrainian diaspora schools and educational initiatives from Czechia, Austria, Hungary, Spain, and Slovakia will practice modern methods of teaching Ukrainian history to children living and studying outside Ukraine.

In Washington, D.C. (USA), an exhibition titled “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra: 975 Years of History – 100 Years of Responsible Preservation” was presented for the first time.

Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, in cooperation with the public organization “Spilka inozemnykh dobrovoltsiv” (Union of Foreign Volunteers), has prepared practical methodological materials. They will help foreign volunteers navigate legal and administrative matters related to military service and staying in Ukraine.

On September 21, an exhibition titled “Generation of Light” will open at the Museum of Baroque Sculptures in the city of Chrudim (Czechia), with the support of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. It is a collection of vytynanka (paper-cutting) works by students of Children’s Art School No. 5 named after Lev Venedyktov in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv.

As part of European Heritage Days in Lviv, historian and essayist Olesia Isaiuk, a researcher invited by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, gave a lecture titled «How to Find Your Own: The Experience of Identifying Ukrainians in the Auschwitz Prisoner Lists». Among the event’s attendees, besides scholars, were relatives of victims of Nazism, including those who had survived Auschwitz.

Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson received as a gift the book “Surviving Hostomel: 21 Stories from a Hero City” by its author, Ksenia Dvornikova, head of the Communications Department of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. The meeting and public presentation of the book took place in Lviv during the 33rd Lviv International BookForum.
