On December 19, the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation Will Hold the Historical Dialogue ‘Ivan Mazepa and Pylyp Orlyk: A Dialogue Between History and Modernity’, Dedicated to Ukrainian Diplomacy Day
This is a conversation about historical figures who shaped Ukrainian statehood, its diplomatic traditions and Ukraine’s place in the European dimension.

We wish to look at the legacy of Mazepa and Orlyk not only as a part of the past, but as the foundation of modern Ukrainian politics and identity.
Dialogue participants:
Ihor Ostash — Ukrainian diplomat, historian, scholar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Rector of the Diplomatic Academy named after Hennadi Udovenko at Ukraine’s MFA.
Mykola Doroshko — historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Ihor Kharchenko — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, Candidate of Historical Sciences.
