Melnyk and Kharchenko in New York: Joint Work on Expelling Russia from the UN

Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN Andriy Melnyk and Chief Consultant of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ihor Kharchenko held a meeting in New York following a UN Security Council session, as part of the implementation of the Memorandum between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation.

Key Agreements

During the meeting, the parties agreed to continue efforts to expel Russia from the illegally occupied USSR seat at the UN (#unrussiaUN), as well as to jointly work on finding new opportunities for cooperation.

Andriy Melnyk’s Mission at the UN

Andriy Melnyk represents Ukraine at the United Nations. One of the key focuses of his work is drawing the international community’s attention to Russian aggression against Ukraine, upholding the principles of international law, and strengthening international support for Ukraine.

Pylyp Orlyk Foundation: Areas of Work

The Pylyp Orlyk Foundation is an independent analytical and cultural platform working to strengthen Ukraine’s international presence, support independent media, cultural and educational initiatives, and develop international partnerships. A distinct area of the Foundation’s work is the implementation of projects in cultural diplomacy, historical memory, and international dialogue. Among its initiatives are exhibitions, public discussions, educational programmes, and international cultural projects in European countries and the United States.

The meeting in New York marked a continuation of consistent cooperation aimed at amplifying Ukraine’s voice in the world, supporting Ukraine’s international initiatives, and advancing efforts to expel Russia from the illegally occupied USSR seat at the UN.
