The National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture has opened the exhibition “Energy of Good” — a display of paintings and photo-art works by Rostyslav Prokopiuk, Ukrainian public figure, artist, photographer, and director of the Ukrainian Institute in Prague.
Artem Mykolaichuk, Chairman of the Board of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, spoke at the Conference of Heads of Foreign Diplomatic Missions «Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership,» where he presented the Foundation’s key areas of activity, thanked the diplomats, and spoke about opportunities for cooperation with Ukrainian missions abroad.
Preserving Ukraine’s cultural heritage is important, but so is making it visible to the world. To this end, the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation and the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” are joining forces.
How can personal belongings tell the story of a family, a region, or a country? Why is it important to discuss the experience of people from occupied territories not only at the local level, but at the national level as well? This was the focus of discussion during the public discussion “Local Voices of Luhansk Region: Memory, Identity, Future.”
How can a city that is shelled daily by Russian forces preserve its cultural heritage? An article on this and more was prepared by Petro Katerynych, PhD, lecturer at the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and Oleh Zaiarnyi, academic advisor to the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, Doctor of Law, professor at the Department of Intellectual Property and Information Law of the Institute of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Petro Katerynych conducted a thorough study of the cultural heritage of the Zaporizhzhia region and its losses as a result of the war, while Oleh Zaiarnyi focused on developing the provisions of the scholarly article, selecting optimal tools for preserving digital heritage, and integrating them into the Smart City concept.
The transition of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Czech Republic Vasyl Zvarych to the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has become an occasion for the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation to recall and thank him for a special history of partnership.
Vasyl Bodnar is leaving his post as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Poland and moving to a new role as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. This news gave the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation an occasion to thank him for the partnership and support, and to share the results of our joint work.
On August 8 at 19:00, the Information and Exhibition Center of the Maidan Museum will host Rostyslav Prokopiuk’s ‘Actual Dialogues’ project — an open conversation featuring actress Irma Vitovska and diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko, who served as Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2009.
On August 7, 2026, at 15:00, the opening of an exhibition of works by Ukrainian public figure, artist, photographer, and director of the Ukrainian Institute in Prague, Rostyslav Prokopiuk, will take place at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
