‘Candle of Memory’. Historical-Artistic Dialogue for the Day of Remembrance of Victims of the Holodomor

On November 21, the historical-artistic dialogue “Candle of Memory” will be held, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of the Holodomor.

The event will unite historical discussion, performances by artists and the presentation of an art exhibition, forming a complete space for reflection on the tragedy of the Holodomor and the role of society in preserving national memory.
The event was initiated by Anzhelika Rudnytska and is organised by the arts agency “Teretoria A” together with the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. The event is held with support from the State Agency for Culture Promotion of Ukraine and the Centre of Folklore and Ethnography. Partner: Lesia Kocherhina.

Historical section
A professional conversation dedicated to the study of the Holodomor and the Ukrainian resistance movement. Discussion participants: Volodymyr Viatrovych, Volodymyr Tylishchak, Andrii Ivanets, Oleksandr Shcherba, Ihor Ostash.
Arts programme
Performances by: Choir of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy; Pavlo Korobchuk; Tetiana Vlasova; Serhii Smalchuk; Anzhelika Rudnytska and Volodymyr Trach; “Stodyvnytsia” ensemble.
