In Kyiv, Rostyslav Prokopiuk’s ‘Actual Dialogues’ to Take Place
On August 8 at 19:00, the Information and Exhibition Center of the Maidan Museum will host Rostyslav Prokopiuk’s ‘Actual Dialogues’ project — an open conversation featuring actress Irma Vitovska and diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko, who served as Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2009.
The conversation will be moderated by Rostyslav Prokopiuk — a civic activist and founder of the independent discussion project ‘Actual Dialogues,’ which was launched by the Ukrainian Institute in Prague.
This time, Rostyslav Prokopiuk’s interlocutors will be two prominent figures from different fields — actress Irma Vitovska and diplomat Volodymyr Ohryzko. Their joint dialogue will offer a view of contemporary Ukraine and its future through the lens of culture and art, social processes, diplomacy, and international politics.
The ‘Actual Dialogues’ project brings together prominent politicians, diplomats, scholars, artists, journalists, and civic activists for an open conversation about the most important challenges of our time. The focus is on the future of Ukraine, European security, international politics, culture, historical memory, and social change.
Irma Vitovska is a theater and film actress, producer, and civic activist, one of the most notable representatives of contemporary Ukrainian culture. For many years, her professional work has extended far beyond the stage and screen into the sphere of public dialogue, support for Ukraine, and reflection on Ukrainian identity.
Volodymyr Ohryzko is a Ukrainian diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine, and a former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. His expertise covers international relations, foreign policy, Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and security issues.
The goal of ‘Actual Dialogues’ is to create a space for meaningful and honest conversation, the search for answers to complex questions, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of Ukrainian-European partnership.
