Today the unique architectural monument in the heart of the capital is in a critical condition.

The Memorandum provides that the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation will ensure the attraction of resources to finance restoration works with the aim of preserving this valuable monument of national cultural heritage.

Artem Mykolainchuk, Chairman of the Board of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, noted: “Igor Sikorsky is one of the fathers of world aviation, who was born and grew up in Kyiv. His legacy reminds us that Ukraine is capable of creating technologies that change the world. The restoration of this house is a symbol of our aspiration to restore Ukraine’s status as a leading aviation and space power.”

The “Building where the outstanding aircraft designer I. Sikorsky lived with his family” is a cultural heritage monument, included by Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution No. 32 of January 25, 2018 in the List of Cultural Heritage Objects of National Significance, with the protected number 260087.
