The first meeting of the mentorship programme “Roots and Wings: History That Unites” for teachers of diaspora schools concluded in the city of Skive, to introduce teaching of Ukrainian history.
This is a conversation about historical figures who shaped Ukrainian statehood, its diplomatic traditions and Ukraine’s place in the European dimension.
The Pylyp Orlyk Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation with the public organisation “Ukrainian Association of Foreign Policy” — one of the most authoritative analytical platforms created by Ukrainian diplomats to support the country’s strategic foreign policy course.
Ukrainian Cinema Days have begun in the Czech city of Brno, running from December 2–7, 2025 at the arthouse cinema Kino Art. This project is a natural continuation of the Ukrainian Cinema Week in Prague. Both events this year are held with the support of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, which consistently expands Ukraine’s cultural presence in EU countries.
Today in Denmark, the mentorship programme “Roots and Wings” begins, implemented with the support of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. The programme is aimed at supporting Ukrainian teachers abroad and preserving historical memory, national identity and cultural connection with Ukraine among children of the Ukrainian diaspora.
On November 30, at the Dům národnostních menšin in Prague, the presentation of the book by historian and writer Olesia Isaiuk “Roman Shukhevych. The Life of a Legend” was held. The event took place with the support of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, within the series “Rostyslav Prokopіuk’s Current Dialogues” and in cooperation with the Ukrainian Institute in Prague.
On December 8, 2025, the I International Scientific-Practical Conference “Ukrainian Language as a Foreign Language in Poland” will take place in Wrocław, drawing nearly a hundred registered participants — teachers, researchers, methodologists and representatives of Ukrainian and Polish educational institutions. The conference is organised by the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, 15th Lyceum in Wrocław, and the Institute of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Warsaw, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine and the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation.
Poland’s Ministry of Education has officially approved a curriculum for teaching Ukrainian as a second foreign language to students in grades 7–8 of general education schools.
