In 2025, Poland published a curriculum for teaching Ukrainian as a second foreign language to students in grades 7–8 of Polish general secondary schools and lyceums. The author of this programme is Ukrainian Pavlo Levchuk — a linguist, Polonist, Slavicist, associate professor at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and researcher of Ukrainian-Polish linguistic and cultural ties.
