A strategic meeting took place in Warsaw between representatives of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation (formerly the Republican Foundation of Ukraine) and the leadership of the Pilecki Institute — Ukraine’s key partner in promoting historical truth on the international stage.

The negotiations included Volodymyr Yelchenko, an experienced Ukrainian diplomat, Artem Mykolaichuk, Chairman of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, and Piotr Franaszek, Deputy Director of the Pilecki Institute.

Initiatives Launching in 2025

International Exhibition Series in partnership between the Foundation and the Institute will cover three key themes:

  • Documenting the war in Ukraine
  • The history of the Holodomor
  • Shared chapters of Ukrainian-Polish history

The exhibitions will be presented in cultural spaces of the Institute’s partner countries worldwide.

Large-scale Cultural-Historical Project is currently under development. While details remain confidential, its transnational significance as a central element of joint memory policy is already clear.

The meeting demonstrated the systematic deepening of Polish-Ukrainian partnership. Joint commemoration of totalitarian victims and protection of historical truth serve not only as instruments for uniting the two nations but also as a response to Russian aggression in the information space.
