On March 25, a public discussion titled “Rethinking Russia: How to Study an Existential Enemy” took place in Kyiv at the office of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation. The event brought together diplomats, analysts, researchers, and students to discuss how Ukraine should develop its own expertise on Russia — beyond outdated approaches and the limitations of traditional Russian studies.
We invite students of Ukrainian higher education institutions who are interested in international politics, international law, diplomacy, and Ukraine’s role in the world to participate.
From March 20–22, the fourth meeting of the annual mentorship programme “Roots and Wings: History That Unites” was held in Prague.
On March 19, the Ukrainian Institute in Prague hosted a lecture by ethnologist Yaroslava Muzychenko titled \u201cEaster in Ukrainian Culture,\u201d co-organized with the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation.
A discussion event on new approaches to analysing Russia
On March 16–17, 2026, Warsaw is hosting the II International Scientific-Practical Conference “Ukrainian Language as a Foreign Language in Poland”, dedicated to contemporary challenges in teaching Ukrainian outside Ukraine. The event is held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland and the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation.
The National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity is holding the VI All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Papers for the Serhii Kemskyi Award. The competition is supported by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation.
On March 8, 2026 at 15:00, a ceremonial event will be held in Copenhagen to mark the 212th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko’s birth. The memorial gathering will take place near the monument to the Ukrainian poet at Stockholmsgade 45, København Ø.
On February 28 – March 1, at the Royal Library of Copenhagen (Det Kgl. Bibliotek), the second meeting was held as part of the mentorship programme “Roots and Wings: History That Unites” — a two-day educational event for teachers of Ukrainian Saturday schools in Denmark.
