This time, the head of the international policy research direction at the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Volodymyr Yelchenko, delivered a lecture “The Past and Present of Ukrainian Diplomacy” for students and faculty of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.

During the lecture, Ambassador Yelchenko outlined the key stages in the formation of Ukraine’s diplomatic tradition, spoke about contemporary challenges for foreign policy and shared his own experience of working in leading international institutions — from the UN to the OSCE.

He devoted particular attention to the activities of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, including the campaign it initiated “Russia Out of the UN”, aimed at restoring the principles of international law and the accountability of the aggressor state.

The lecture became an important part of the Foundation’s educational direction and another step in developing expert discussion about Ukraine’s place in the system of international security.
