In Lviv, the First Book of the Para Bellum Series on AI, Robotics, and the Wars of the Future Will Be Presented

On September 11 at 2:00 PM, as part of the Lviv Publishers Forum, the presentation will take place of the book “The Beast in the Machine: How Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Are Changing War and the Future of Human Conflict” by American defense technology expert George Doerty.
It became the first book in the Para Bellum series, launched by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation together with the “Nash Format” publishing house. The series will feature world bestsellers and books by Ukrainian authors on the technologies, decisions, and experience that are shaping the wars of the future, as Ukraine’s experience is already changing the global understanding of modern war and victory.
The book “The Beast in the Machine…” explores how robotic systems and artificial intelligence are transforming modern warfare and how these technologies will affect the global balance of power in the future, and offers a unique perspective on the radical changes already taking place on the battlefield that will soon determine the global balance of power.
George Doerty, as a highly qualified US Air Force military leader, analyzes the development of military robotics from the covert operations of the 20th century to the modern Russian-Ukrainian war, and also raises the question of the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the military sphere.

Para Bellum is a new series by the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation and the “Nash Format” publishing house about the technologies, decisions, and experience that are shaping the wars of the future. The series will feature world bestsellers and books by Ukrainian authors, as Ukraine’s experience is already changing the global understanding of modern war and victory.
The Para Bellum series is being implemented in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation and the “Nash Format” publishing house, concluded in July 2026.
