The Serhii Kemskyi Award
On November 1, at the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity, the awarding of winners of the V All-Ukrainian Competition for the Award named after Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Serhii Kemskyi took place.

This year the competition was held with the support of the Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, which joined in the creation of the awards and the honouring of young researchers.
About Serhii Kemskyi
Serhii Kemskyi — Ukrainian political scientist, journalist, civic activist, native of Kerch. One of the active participants in the Revolution of Dignity, who on February 20, 2014 died on Instytutska Street in Kyiv. He was only 32 years old.
Serhii was among those who not only believed in change — he lived for it. He wrote the landmark text “Why I Go to Maidan”, in which he called on Ukrainians to peaceful resistance and self-organisation. For his civic stand he was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine.

The Award is not merely a competition. It is a way of saying “thank you” to those who dreamed of a country without fear and indifference, and an invitation to those ready to make that dream a reality. Through such projects, a culture of memory is built and a generation grows that not merely studies history — but creates it, drawing on the experience of heroes who gave their lives for freedom.
